In your statement you’ve delivered a comprehensive display of analytical and investigative powers. I find it shocking the perception politicals (and their functionaries) appear to have of what they believe they are entitled to, and how they can hide that from their employers, (the taxpayers). I’ve only just found this blog – and have instantly become an avid reader! This post should be sent to each and every MP, to remind them that they work for us, the public. I have no problem with MPs claiming money for legitimate business expenses – just don’t go hiding it. John Major recently suggested that a tighter expenses policy will be introduced whilst MP salaries will increase. But surely expenses are not supposed to be a way of increasing one’s salary? In the private sector, one would get fired for such wanton abuse?

I regret….. anything remotely smacking of common sense and/or honesty tends to be deeply suspect by any group related to this Fraudsters’ Parliament!

As already stated – a beautiful dismantling of most of what’s wrong with the British state (you didn’t mention the monarchy though Heather!) So why do I have this dull feeling that little fundamental is likely to change…?

This is absolutely wonderful stuff. An external perspective combined with local experience, providing clean insights and all plainly stated. Would that every MP reads this and takes it to heart.
