Information Commissioner’s caseload database

Filed under: Uncategorized — heather @ 9:37 am

This file contains the caseload database from the Information Commissioner’s Office, which I received 4 August 2005. I have made numerous corrections to the spelling of the names of the public authorities listed in the document in order to collate them by case type.

Read the original email correspondence.

    Heather,

The link to the spreadsheet is bad, I’m afraid, as is the one to the original email correspondence. Looks as though they point to the location of the documents on the copy of this site sitting on your hard drive, rather than the one on the server…

    Cheers,

    Andrew

You may be using the Apple Safari browser, which has a bug resolving relative links.

The database that the IC has sent you includes two entries for Norfolk County Council, FAC 0064464 and FAC0071317.

I am the corporate FOI Officer for Norfolk CC and have had no communication from IC about these requests. We are aware of one complaint, made in February - but no others. These may be isolated incidents, but frankly I do not trust the reliability of this database.

thanks for publishing the IC Caseload file. I received 2 letters from the IC just before
Christmas apologising for the delay in handling my complaint against Swindon Borough Council
which was submitted on June 2nd 2005. It’s not in the Excel data unfortunately.

I did contact the IC in July to see if they would be making the cases in progress online :

    Dear Mr Doyle

Thank you for your recent email. Unfortunately we do not offer an online complaint tracking service.

As previously advised, your case (reference FS50079606) is currently awaiting allocation to one of the Commissioner’s senior Complaints Resolution Officers, for detailed consideration of the issues you raise. When your case has been allocated, you will be advised of the Officer who will be your point of contact for any queries you may have. Unfortunately, until an allocation has been made, it is difficult to provide you with any further comment about either the content or progress of your case.

I am sorry that I can be of no further assistance.

    Yours sincerely

    Emma Webb
    Assistant Complaints Resolution Manager
